Whitedog Auto Status

We are a local family owned garage, specializing in sales, service, and repair of imported cars. We have been in business since 1975. Our location at 424 Highland Court is within walking distance from downtown Iowa City, and close to the bus line. We work by appointment, but can generally schedule work in a day or two. We perform repairs as quickly as possible, and have established excellent parts suppliers to insure that we have parts available quickly. We have invested in extensive on-line and computer-based data systems, including the Volvo VIDA on-line diagnostic and download system, which allows us to service all 1999 and later Volvos with the same capabilities and information as a Volvo dealer. Kevin Glick is our trained Volvo specialist. We also have full information and diagnostic tools for Saabs. Paul Poore who is a certified Saab Master Tech. We have also added Jeff Pieper to our staff, a specialist in Asian cars. We have complete diagnostic systems for Asian cars such as Subaru, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Acura, Lexus, Mazda, and Infiniti. We can repair all systems on imports, from oil changes, brakes, mufflers, suspension, tuning, maintenance services, to complex electronics, and electrical diagnosis.
Our sales department has a good inventory of late model cars in all price ranges, with an emphasis on Volvo, Saab,and Subaru. All cars are thoroughly inspected and serviced before being sold, and we offer extended warranties on most cars.
